It started with a shelf
Every Maharashtrian home has one — the shelf where the achaar lives. The gavran mango that appears when the season is right, the thecha that makes plain bhakri an event, the mukhwas that ends every meal properly. TaazaCratte began in Pune with a simple thought: that shelf shouldn't end at our kitchen.
Our recipes, seasoned hands
The recipes and taste standards are ours — settled across more family meals than any lab could run. The making, we entrust to seasoned manufacturers who have spent decades perfecting their craft. We choose each partner for one product, one reason: they make it taste exactly the way we insist it should.
Why we partner, honestly
A shelf this wide — pickles, chutneys, ghee, mukhwas — can't be made well in one local kitchen. Rather than compromise, we source carefully: the best maker for each product, wherever they are. It keeps quality consistent, supports jobs beyond our own doorstep, and lets us keep the promise that matters — the taste. As we grow, our partners grow with us.
Why so much oil?
People ask. Achaar was never meant to sit dry — the oil isn't garnish, it's function. It seals the jar, carries the masala, and lets flavours mature slowly, the way pickles were kept for generations before refrigeration. When your jar arrives with a proper layer of oil on top, that's the recipe working.
